Welcome to another #StitchAlong, where you are invited to join the fun. I’m participating in an event hosted by Patty D of Elm Street Quilts called “Bag it” . Each week in Novembershe is providing a bag tutorial and you get entered to win prizes, with every bag you make (the more bags you make, the more entries you get). Here is her schedule:
- Week of November 2: Basic Zipper Pouch
- Week of November 9: Boxy Pouches
- Week of November 16: Storage Bags (no zippers!)
- Week of November 23: iPod and Jewelry bags
- Week of November 30: Triangle Bags
BAG IT #StitchAlong
I followed Patty’s Basic Zippered Pouch Tutorial” . This tutorial definitely goes into my favorite tutorials list. I have completed eight bags so far.
I boxed the corners on six of these little bags. Jocelyn of Happy Cottage Quilter has also been participating in Bag It and yesterday she shared that she added some charms from WalMart, as zipper pulls. So, I made a trip to my local WalMart and found some perfect beachy theme charms for my bags.
Today I’m stitching two more of the zipper pouches that I’ve already cut and I hope to make some of the Boxy Bags using Patty’s tutorial. I hope you’ll join Patty’s fun Bag It event, and #StitchAlong with me.
Don’t forget, if you share your photos to include hastags #elmstreetquilts and #stitchalong.

I’d love to have you join me in these virtual #StitchAlong projects. You can share on social media (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc) using the hashtag #StitchAlong. Of course, I also hope you’ll also share in the weekly #CreativeGoodness Linky Parties which I host every Friday. And, these zipper bags will be some of the “handmade surprise prizes” randomly given to participants in these weekly parties.
What ever you do, I hope you find joy and time to create.
