ultimate quilt challenge badge

The Ultimate Quilt Challenge is a free virtual event open to quilters of all levels, from all over the world.  This is a great way to learn/improve your free-motion quilting skills, as well as to inspire others with a variety of FMQ design ideas thru doodle/sketching (no FMQ required). To clarify, this challenge will help you learn/improve your skills for creating and sizing your own FMQ motifs!

Any project with FMQ that incorporated any of the Ultimate Stencils designed by Cindy Needham, but made prior to Summer 2016.    http://quiltshopgal.com/the-ultimate-free-motion-quilting-challenge-summer-2016-kick-off-with-virtual-quilt-showlinky-party/

Simply download FREE templates,  or you can use “master” templates that are included in e:book documentation when you purchase any Ultimate Stencil collection from Cindy Needham.  Sketch out design ideas for blocks or wholecloth quilts, as desired, for any size block or quilt.  Possibilities are endless and there is no need to stitch any of these designs out to enter.  http:/quiltshopgal.com/the-ultimate-free-motion-quilting-challenge-summer-2016-linky-party-2-doodlesketching/

Use any of the stencils from any of the Ultimate Stencil collections from Cindy Needham to free-motion quilt any project, any style, any design, as well as any size.  You can even finish UFO projects that need quilting, or create a new project of any size.  Heck, you can even stitch out a practice sandwich. To clarify, your project can be pieced, applique’ or wholecloth.  You can work on this project anytime, but it needs to be entered no later than September 15th to share in this Linky Party.  Note:  Definition of “Finished” is up to you, but should provide sufficient visual evidence of you using any of the Ultimate Stencils in your project.  Here is the link to this party:  http://quiltshopgal.com/the-ultimate-free-motion-quilting-challenge-summer-2016-linky-party-3-learnimprove-your-free-motion-quilting-skills-this-summer/

Prizes randomly awarded the 2nd half  of September.

To clarify all entries must incorporate The Ultimate Stencil Collection and/ or The Ultimate Background Stencil Collection, by Cindy Needham.  The design possibilities with these stencils are endless, but if you feel stumped with what to create, throughout the summer, you’ll find tips, some tutorials, as well as many inspirational projects to help you learn/improve your FMQ skills.

note:  Not all prizes had winners for the Ultimate Quilting Challenge, as a result of number of participants being lower than original estimates.
