We are weeks away from the Superbowl. You may not be a football fan, but maybe you know one, and would like to make them a gift. But doesn’t every quilter in the world want to have a table runner, wallhanging or quilt that captures the spirit of the Superbowl.
Ok, I’ll confess I’m looking for simple project ideas to create something to share with friends who invite us over for a SuperBowl Party every year.
You may have previously seen a fun football free-motion quilting tutorial by Lori Kennedy, of the Inbox Jaunt. I think her tutorial would work on a simple dish towel, table runner, wallhanging, quilt, sweatshirt, etc.. Yeap the possibilities are endless and I’m hoping to see many create fun projects using her free FMQ tutorial.
Of course, her tutorial (as all of her tutorials) will help anyone learn/improve your FMQ skills and also create handmade projects perfect to decorate your home throughout the football season, as well as for gifts.
As you may not yet be aware of Lori Kennedy, of the Inbox Jaunt, I want to take time to share a few insights. She is an amazing quilter, master free-motion quilter, teacher and blogger. If you do not yet follow her blog, I want to encourage you to do so. While I personally follow her blog thru a variety of tools, I’ve found that following her via “My Creative Blog List” is actually the easiest for me.
Lori is also a Bernina Ambassador. where you can also find her as a guest blogger periodically at We All Sew.
I also want to increase awareness that Lori also teaches an excellent free-motion quilting class on Craftsy, called “Divide & Conquer: Creative Quilting For Any Space”.
